Always reliable, great for twins

This is my third purchase from HOMB. I originally bought two HOMB Rucksack-Kindertragen for my twins last year and they've held up great. This time I needed a HOMB Brustgurt as a replacement because I lost one during a move. The ordering process was as smooth as ever, and it shipped out quickly. Took about a week to get here in Florida. It's nice knowing I can always count on them for quality and consistent service. The carriers themselves are still fantastic; they really do make carrying two toddlers much easier than a traditional hiking frame.

Good value for a new carrier

I was looking for a toddler carrier that wasn't too bulky and came across HOMB. I signed up for their newsletter and got a 10% discount on my first order, which really helped with the cost of the HOMB Rucksack-Kindertrage. Shipping was free too, which was a nice bonus. It arrived in about 6 days to my place in Utah. The carrier felt sturdy, and my little one seemed comfortable. For the price I paid, I felt like I got good value for money. It's definitely an upgrade from what I was using before and didn't break the bank.

Is HOMB really that different from an Osprey or Deuter? They look kinda similar from pictures, just wondering if it's worth the extra cash or hype.

N Noor 1 month ago

Oh huge difference. Osprey/Deuter are proper framed hiking carriers, way heavier and bulkier. HOMB is more like a padded backpack with a kid seat, super light and folds down. Better for city stuff or shorter trails, I think.

W Wendy Marsh 1 month ago

Totally different vibe. I had a Deuter and hated how heavy it was even empty. The HOMB is much more commuter-friendly if you're not doing like, Everest base camp.

Can you use more than one discount code at checkout? Got a newsletter one and saw something about a bundle, trying to stack 'em.

J Jared V. 2 months ago

Nah, pretty sure it's just one code per order. Most stores are like that.

R Rachel Whitfield 2 months ago

Nope, tried it before. Only one coupon allowed. You gotta pick which one gives you the best deal.

Does HOMB ever do sales or discount codes? I'm eyeing the full set but it's a bit pricey. Should I wait for Black Friday or something?

R Rachel Doyle 2 months ago

They often have like 5-10% off if you sign up for their newsletter. Also saw some bundle deals last time I checked. Black Friday is probably their biggest sale though.

C Cody Z. 2 months ago

Yeah, they do sales for holidays sometimes too, like Easter or Christmas. And check if they have a 'new customer' discount, some places do that.

Hey, thinking about getting the HOMB carrier but my kid is already kinda big for her age. What's the max weight for these things? Don't wanna buy it and then she outgrows it in a month.

K Kevin Walsh 2 months ago

I think it's like, 20 kg? My little guy is chunky and we still use ours for hikes, no problem.

R Ryan 2 months ago

Yeah, pretty sure it's 20kg. It's really sturdy though, feels way more solid than some other soft carriers even at that weight.

I'm in New York, any idea on how long shipping takes to the US? Don't want to wait forever.

D Dan Nguyen 1 month ago

Hmm, they're a German brand, right? So it'll probably take a bit. I'd guess at least a week, maybe two? Don't think they have a US warehouse.

J June W. 1 month ago

Yeah, expect international shipping times. Afaik they ship from Germany. If you're lucky, maybe 5-7 business days, but I'd budget more like 10-14 to be safe.
